LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL: 93
Monroe's Boys Varsity Swimming Team hosted Lincoln last night in a nailbiter, ending in a tie 93 to 93! "Its very rare to have a tie in swimming. I knew it would be a close meet, & I am very happy with how our team performed." said Coach Erin Dowen. The Trojans came to compete, posting best times despite the fact they can't use starting blocks. It was LOUD natatorium, as the following athletes were top finishers:
1st - Medley Relay (Alex Roa-Garcia, Josh Riggs, Jayce Hay, & Maxx Adams)
Alec Adams (1st - 500 Free, 2nd - 200 Free)
Jayce Hay (2nd- 200 IM)
Maxx Adams (2nd - 50 Free, 2nd- 100 Free)
Vishwas Joshi (2nd - Diving)
1st - 200 Free Relay (Josh Riggs, Jayce Hay, Maxx Adams, Alec Adams)
Alex Roa-Garcia (2nd - 100 Back)
Josh Riggs (1st - 100 Breast)
2nd - 400 Free Relay (Alec Adams, Reggie Geftos, Noah Carveth, & Zekiel Green)
Avery Walker & Reuben Green also swam well.
